I started blogging because at the time, there was no other outlet for my writing. Posting in my Gaia journal wasn’t getting any attention, and posting in open forums was getting the wrong kind of attention. A few friends suggested I start a blog, and a few of them even suggested I try to get paid for blogging (still sure how that works), and after a failed attempt at creating a t\tumblr, I went around asking people for suggestions of good blogging sites. wordpress was the one that got mentioned the most, so here I am, a much more fulfilled writer.
As far as tips go… Well, I can only give tips related to my own personal experience, and all I’ve learned is that the way I did this is NOT the way to do it. I’m not active in the community, I don’t use images out of fearo f copyright, and I just… Kinda chill and keep to myself. It’s been a slow ride. The only thing I can really say is that if you’re trying to keep up a weekly schedule, it’s a good idea to keep a stockpile of prepared work to rely on whenever you’re looking for something to fill up a release slot.
Oh, and if you’re a reviewer, I know writing negative reviews is a lot more easy and fun than writing positive ones, but trust me on this… Your positive reviews are the ones you’ll look back on with the most fondness.
And that’s it. Tomorrow, for my regular weekly post, i’ll be revisiting my old nemesis RWBY!
